File a housing discrimination report.

You can file a report if you were treated unfairly while:

  • Renting or buying a home

  • Applying for or receiving a mortgage

  • Seeking housing assistance

  • Participating in other housing-related activities

  • Experiencing discrimination or civil rights violations in HUD-funded housing or community development programs (including discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, or age)

  • Accessing housing as a survivor of domestic violence

Use HUD’s Report Housing Discrimination tool to submit a complaint and begin the process.
